The New England Chapter of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists is pleased to host Andy O’Shea and Tom Lauzurica of Berje as they present fragrance trends and marketing forecasts for 2019.

Andy is a 30 year veteran of the fragrance Industry and joined Berje’ 4 years ago as Senior Vice President. He previously served in management roles at drom Fragrances, CPL Aromas and Arcade marketing. He is a graduate of NESCOT with a BSC in Chemistry from the UK, and emigrated to the USA in 1997 with his family to be in the global heart of the Fragrance industry in New Jersey. Andy is a board director of The Fragrance creators association of America, as well as a board director of IFRA Europe, where he serves the interest of the Industry on a Governmental and legislative level.He is passionate about the sense of smell, and the well being of the Industry, as well as his wife and two grown up children. Andy is a newly minted American citizen, active runner, accomplished Scuba diver and takes a keen interest in cooking, wine and travel.    

Tom joined the industry 14 years ago, entering the management trainee program within Berjé, whereby he rotated through every department from QC to production and sales, finally establishing himself with a graphic design degree as Berjé’s Marketing Manager. His love of graphics and design started at an early age decorating various train stations and public spaces in his childhood home of Newark NJ, from there combining his love of nature and aromas, he found the perfect blending of these passions in his current role at Berjé.

Tom is at the forefront of trends in the Essential oils, Fragrance & Flavor markets, ensuring our clients are kept up to the minute with whats new and emerging for the future of the Industry. Tom also serves on the Beauty board of the Color Association of America (CAUS) developing future color palettes for the Beauty industry in general. 

Tom is an avid rock climber, an adventurous cook, enjoys travel and experiencing the diverse aspects of all he encounters. He is married proudly to a physician and has a four legged furry child named Loopy.

Together, Andy and Tom will present fragrance trends and marketing forecast for 2021, focusing on the interplay between trending conventional fragrances infused with new naturals.  A smelling session demonstrate a series of fragrances in four different categories and an impactful natural ingredient from each.  We will explore fragrances and natural ingredient call-outs from applications in personal care, fine fragrance and environmental categories.
